A legend in the folk music world tonight!

Comparisons are inevitable and impassioned: Steve Earle,
Michael Smith, John Gorka, Leonard Cohen, Guy Clark,
Terry Allen, and, of course, Townes. It's almost
impossible not to mention these giants of songwriting
when describing the essence of David's work. Highly
literate, dramatically spectacular short stories and
achingly empathetic love songs. Those comparisons also
reflect David's stage style. His front-porch mannerisms
belie both the sophistication of his songs and the
absorbing atmosphere of his performance. David's
straightforward voice, sometimes gruff and expressive,
conveys passion as well as a confidence in the integrity
of his songwriting.
