November 11 Carrie Newcomer ($12/$15) 8 PM

Carrie's musical foundation is built on the belief
of basic human goodness and framed within modern
folk-rock and pop melodies, finished by her warm,
sensual, rich and versatile voice. Inspired by
deep spirituality and love, Carrie writes of the
human condition with truthfulness and a passionate
reassuring kindness. The characters in her song
stories speak of hope, inspiration and humor. Their
revealed life experiences are bittersweet and
beautiful, tragic and humbling, often with tenderness,
grace and forgiveness. Tonight we will mark the
release of Carrie's new CD "Regulars & Refugees".
As with her previous recordings, a portion of the
sales will benefit charities with societal concerns
of hunger, homelessness, literacy, nature and health.
Pianist Gary Walters will accompany Carrie's singing
and guitar tonight. Come have your soul recharged
by songs of a higher purpose.
