August 25 Kat Eggleston & Kate MacLeod ($12) 8 PM

This will be an evening of exceptional artistry. Both Kat & Kate are
scholars and purveyors of traditional Scottish, Celtic, British Isles
and Early American music and stories, weaving those influences into
their original contemporary folk ballads, jigs and reels. Each of
these award winning artists is in the top echelon of her field. Kat
arranges fiddle and bagpipe tunes for hammered and mountain dulcimer
and finger picked guitar. Her voice is startlingly clear, beautiful
and powerful. And she’s an outstand guitarist—one of the best we’ve
heard! Kate’s’ sweet, unpretentious voice elicits deep emotions with
her straight forward and absorbing Steinbeck-like narratives. She
holds many “Best Of” awards for her fiddle work as well as for her
lyrical and bluegrass accomplishments. This will be the show to
remember for years to come.
