Aug 15 Matt the Electrician 8 PM ($12/$15)

Drawing from childhood musical influences as diverse as Woody Guthrie and The
Hollies, Matt’s unpretentious songs have an “everyman” viewpoint wrapped in
easy, bouncy grooves and cool melodies. He sings with a dusty voice redolent of
Paul Simon and Buddy Mondlock and his performances are conversational, laced
with gentle, sometimes quirky humor. Matt’s an excellent guitarist and trumpeter
on songs ranging from quiet folk to pop-rock. One reviewer commented on Matt’s
minimal yet complex songs: “…casually perfect, remarkably direct and simple.”

Bend Studio to remain as a music venue! The circumstance that caused the Fire
Marshal to halt our joint presentation of Brooks Williams and Kat Eggleston at
Bend Studio on August 9th is being addressed which will allow them to resume
their fine musical presentation on August 16th with David Lindley and Sam Swank.
We're glad they are back in the saddle!
