KENJI SIRATORI AND MARCEL GHERMAN AKA MEGATONE – NEW ALBUM „VICIOUS"
Style: ambient/noise/experimental
Album „Vicious" is the result of a collaboration between Marcel Gherman alias
Megatone and japanese writer Kenji Siratori, one of the most en vogue
representatives of the new wave of cyberpunk literature. In his writing,
Siratori inspires himself from Antonin Artaud's and William Burroughs' cut-up
era creation, utilizing a technique of extreme deconstruction similar to the
surrealists' automatism, which expresses the sensory overload specific to the
present digital age. His books have been translated in several languages. The
most recent books released by Kenji Siratori are "Acidhuman Project" launched at
the british publishing house Creation Books, and „Nonexistence" (Blaze Vox
Books).
Album „Vicious", released at label Hypermodern from Japan, contains several
texts by Kenji Siratori, read by the author, which combine with Marcel Gherman
alias Megatone's music in dark ambient and industrial noise style. „Vicious" is
a reflection on contemporary history seen as a digital metaphor.
