MEGATONE – “IMAGO MUNDI NOVA EP”
New Megatone alias Marcel Gherman EP “Imago Mundi Nova” has been released on
netlabel Enough Records from Portugal. Style: experimental waveform ambient. The
theme of minialbum “Imago Mundi Nova” is the influence of non-figurative plastic
arts on electronic music as morphing soundscapes, textures and sonic sculptures
and was inspired by the creation of painter Mihai Tarus, a disciple of Sterligov
and Malevich. The album also features in a zip file cover artwork using with
permission paintings from Mihai Tarus’s cycle “Compressed Time”, a descriptive
text and the English translation of two essays by Marcel Gherman previously
published in magazine Contrafort, “Sound Art: The Conceptual Language of
Electronic Music” and “The Fourth Element”.
The album portrays time, history and future as waves in hyperspace, the feeling
of future at this dawn of the 21st Century.
