so, i often get caught up in patches that have nothing to do w/whatever track
i'm working on
and i don't want to lose the sound but don't want to have a patching sitting
there until i need
to use it... or i discover some nice tweak of a patch and want preserve it...
so a while back i bought redmatica's autosampler for sampling patches from the
modular
and found it to be a great way to archive sounds and make sampler instruments
for playback
in kontakt or logic's sampler. i find i actually make more patches this way
just for endless
fun because i can just record them automatically really quickly. so i've been
building up a
nice modcan sample library for use in whatever song needs xyz type sound.
Just thought i'd share because it's common for me to make a patch I really like
but won't
actually use in a production right away and it just kills me to take the patch
apart and move
on w/o having some kind of fast way of recreating it. so, yeah.. sacrifice a
little of the
modular control but add all the digital things that a sampler can offer and not
lose the patch.
