hi. i have the following forsale. I'm located in Portland, OR USA:
cyndustries darkstar chaos (rare and out of production) make offer
cyndustries dual sawtooth animator $375
cyndustries medium power supply $225
cyndustries wooden case w/all power connectors/bus boards etc for up to 16
modules.
you can also mount a power supply in the back and not take up any of the rack
spaces.
Cyndustries no longer makes these cases as far as i know and i can't for the
life of me
remember how much i paid for it. so make an offer and in the mean time i'll see
if i can
find out what the case cost new.
all items are in as new condition. the modules will come w/mounting screws and
power
connectors.
payment via paypal. sorry but USA only. if you have any questions etc just email
me.
i'll give it a few days but if no one bites then it's off to ebay.

so, i often get caught up in patches that have nothing to do w/whatever track
i'm working on
and i don't want to lose the sound but don't want to have a patching sitting
there until i need
to use it... or i discover some nice tweak of a patch and want preserve it...
so a while back i bought redmatica's autosampler for sampling patches from the
modular
and found it to be a great way to archive sounds and make sampler instruments
for playback
in kontakt or logic's sampler. i find i actually make more patches this way
just for endless
fun because i can just record them automatically really quickly. so i've been
building up a
nice modcan sample library for use in whatever song needs xyz type sound.
Just thought i'd share because it's common for me to make a patch I really like
but won't
actually use in a production right away and it just kills me to take the patch
apart and move
on w/o having some kind of fast way of recreating it. so, yeah.. sacrifice a
little of the
modular control but add all the digital things that a sampler can offer and not
lose the patch.

december" now to "Shipping!"....whatever that means. Oh hell i knew i

i emailed cynthia once asking for definitions of the status of
modules in the price list page and there was no mention of
backordered modules so my guess is it means there are a lot of orders
and she has them going in batches so if you order a back ordered
module will be put in line and your order will ship once you get to
your turn in line and when she has a batch done etc. below is what
she sent me several (maybe 6?) months ago:
"Yes, "In Stock" means that we have finished units on the shelf
wrapped in static free
plastic bubble pack tested and ready to ship. It may take a day or
two for me to get
it into a box and ship to you, especially if it's an international
shipment needing all
of the extra customs paperwork, but yup, "in stock" basically means
in stock.
"In production" on the other hand means that we are building whatever
gadget all
of the time and as each wave of same type modules are completed they
all ship out
to customers as they come off the assembly line. These are usually
expected to ship
within five weeks or less.
"Special Order" modules takes as long as they take with no specific
shipping dates.
Honestly, I could be a bit better about updating the price list more
regularly, but for
the most part it's pretty accurate.
Best Wishes!
Cynthia"

Why, I've had mine paid for...uh, well...I'll have to check.
To quote the legendary Groucho Marx, "I'd horse-whip you if I had a
horse".
Steve, let's start ranting about the UEG.... something we ALL could use
right now... a generator for a universal event !!
thanks for the info. glad you spoke w/her. i spoke w/her once a
really long time ago and i recall that conversation was pleasant
enough.
I'm more or less sure my module will ship before too long and more or
less sure i can avoid any undue drama etc. i think it's safe to say
that our modules will ship it's just a matter of when so.. there's
not much that can be done other than communicating w/her and keeping
tabs on everything and being patient and prepared to wait.

I don't think it would be a violation of her confidence
to say that she told me that my module would ship.

I don't know if this helps you at all, but there's some rumblings on
the electro-music forum that they're going to do a second run of the
LPG PCBs. (Don't solve your problems with Cyndustries, but might be a
way for you to get an LPG.) So, depending on your skills, you could
either make one for yourself or get someone different to make one for
you...(this might be a project for a small manufacturer as custom work
(I'm thinking of Michael Ford of Metalbox, STG of STG Soundlabs, or
possibly yours truly. FWIW, before I had any skills and before Michael
Ford was Metalbox, I hired him to do some custom work for me, and he
did an awesome job at a very reasonable price...)

I haven't received my QLPG either. maybe by x-mas. not sure.
hopefully before.
I enquired about a refund a month or so ago and was told that it was
impossible as she needed every dollar to make the shipping happen and
she couldn't spare any cash for a refund. ?????
so, good luck on asking for a refund.
the straw broke the camels back a long time ago w/cyndustries. at 2
years the situation became absurd and now that it's been 3 years +
almost 1 month (for 1 module) i can say that if i do not receive my

Let me begin by saying that I'm not attempting to defend Cynthia. I understand that there is frustration here, and that some people have legitimate concerns. May I offer this suggestion? I've had very good luck in the past calling Cynthia directly. I have found that e-mail seems not to be the best way to communicate. The "Shipping Frenzy" post on the Official List said that "more" Anything Modules would be shipping as part of the "frenzy". This suggested that someone had been sent an Anything - great. So I wasn't first in line - my order is only one year old.
Wondering how the the lucky Anything receivers were enjoying the module, I emailed the Official List to ask. The message did not show up - censored, perhaps. And an inquiry sent to Cynthia has gone unanswered.
The Cyndustries site says the Anything is "Shipping". All signs suggest that "gross exaggeration" would be a kind way to describe the "shipping" claim.
Wire fraud
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wire fraud is a legal concept in the United States Code which provides for
enhanced
penalty of any criminally fraudulent activity if it is determined that the
activity involved
electronic communications of any kind, at any phase of the event. As in the case
of mail
fraud, this statute is often used as a basis for a separate federal prosecution
of what would
otherwise have been only a violation of a state law.
The crime of wire fraud is codified at 18 U.S.C. § 1343, and reads as follows:
Whoever, having devised or intending to devise any scheme or artifice to
defraud, or for
obtaining money or property by means of false or fraudulent pretenses,
representations,
or promises, transmits or causes to be transmitted by means of wire, radio, or
television
communication in interstate or foreign commerce, any writings, signs, signals,
pictures, or
sounds for the purpose of executing such scheme or artifice, shall be fined
under this title
or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both. If the violation affects a
financial
institution, such person shall be fined not more than $1,000,000 or imprisoned
not more
than 30 years, or both.

I was told that the anything and the 2 pulse divider modules were in stock. a couple of days later I emailed to find out about an eta, and was told 4 to 5 days. since then, silence. I do not believe that they were in stock, or if they were, they went to other people - in either case, I should have gotten a communication about it. I sold my modcan pulse divider because I believed I'd get these in a few days, and now I'm fearing the worst.
The "Shipping Frenzy" post on the Official List said that
"more" Anything Modules would be shipping as part of
the "frenzy". This suggested that someone had been sent an Anything -
great. So I wasn't first in line - my order is only one year old.
Wondering how the the lucky Anything receivers were enjoying
the module, I emailed the Official List to ask. The message
did not show up - censored, perhaps. And an inquiry sent to
Cynthia has gone unanswered.
The Cyndustries site says the Anything is "Shipping". All
signs suggest that "gross exaggeration" would be a kind
way to describe the "shipping" claim.
This is sad. Maybe its time to ask for a refund.
I ordered 3 new modules before Thanksgiving, after getting assurances that they were in stock. They have not arrived, and my last 2 emails about the status were ignored. After xmas, if I still cannot get satisfaction on this, I will raise a complaint with paypal.
Welp despite the fact that an assured delivery time frame was stated and a picture of the lovely modules was posted...yet another delivery date has come and gone, empty handed. :-(
