IT SEEMS IRONIC TO BE HEARING today from Ken Casey of the

. . . DROPKICK MURPHYS.

Yesterday we included the press release about his new McGreevy's 3rd
Base Saloon in a regular issue of our newsletter. We received a good
number of responses to yesterday's issue (it is quite common for us to
get zero replies on a Saturday), and one hundred percent of those
e-mails were about the McGreevy sports bar.

DKM's Ken Casey, who to my experience has done many admirable things,
is involved in a fundraiser which clearly means a lot to him. So I am
taking the liberty of sending this special issue of our newsletter so
as to add to the circulation of Casey's appeal.

"Message From Ken Casey" is copied below.

First, though, I will digress briefly.

Just in to our inbox is an announcement of a radio appearance tonight by

. . . SAL BAGLIO.

We RARELY know about an event such as this far enough in advance to
put out the word on it. So in honor of Sal's extraordinary timeliness
... not to mention the fact that his "Memory Theatre" is among my
favorite recent CD releases ... I will give him the lead-in to this
newsletter special edition.

Be sure, though, to stick with it, if you get this far, and see what
Ken Casey has to say. He's a good man, public spirited, and very much
worthy of a few minutes of our time.

Thanks!

Alan

MESSAGE FROM KEN CASEY
of the Dropkick Murphys

Dear Friends,

This is Ken Casey from the Dropkick Murphys and let me start by saying
thank you for taking the time to read this email!

Over the years you have been great to us and been so helpful whenever
we have asked for your help. We have always tried to be diligent in
making sure that our communications with you via this mailing list
have been strictly for DKM related topics since thats what you signed
up for. But for one instance I hope you don't mind if we make an
exception.

For those of you that do not know, I am involved in a great fund
raising effort that is very important to me on the behalf of a dear
friend of mine, Brendan Brady. Brendan is a 6 year old boy that needs
our help and I am asking for that help now. Brendan's parents Timmy
and Dianne are life long friends of mine and there son Brendan is a
vibrant six year old boy who has Cerebral Palsy, along with many other
neurological disorders and a visual impairment that were sustained at
birth. Although it has been a huge struggle Brendan has made some
great progress through a number of different therapies that are very
time consuming and expensive. At this time Brendan still does not
walk on his own. He cannot communicate verbally and is in constant
need for intense sensory input.

We are now in the final stretch for reaching our pre-event goal for
the Brendan Brady Fund. Next Sat,May 17th is the event
(www.brendanbrady.org <http://www.brendanbrady.org>) and we wanted to
be at $50,000 prior to the actual evening. Our focus was to raise
donations through three initial donation methods, Corporate Donations,
Personal Donations and the Harley Raffle.

We are only $9,000 short of our goal! To everyone that has been help,
great job!

I am asking you personally to help make a difference in Brendan's Life
and donate what ever amount you can ! Even a small amount will make an
enormous difference to a great kid that needs so much to continue his
development during his life.

Please consider making this small gift.

Steps to donate:

log onto www.brendanbrady.org <http://www.brendanbrady.org>
Click on Donate (if you wish to enter the Harley Davidson Raffle the
cost is $50)
Use your credit card to donate through Paypal
Its that simple!

Thank you so much for your generosity and making a difference in
Brendan's life.

Sincerely, Ken Casey
Dropkick Murphys
