This information came by way of a New England Blues Society posting
made this morning by "RacoonBlues."

. . . Maynard Silva has died at 57 of cancer. RIP

The New England Blues Society, I believe, is Providence-based and is
not to be confused with the well-known Boston Blues Society.

Though obviously this is very sad news, no doubt many of our readers
will want to be informed of Silva's death.
