International reggae recording star Piankhy is set to release his
latest smash CD, "The Royal Regiment". The songwriter, producer,
guitarist and singer brings classic roots rock reggae with dashes of
soul and hip-hop to the new tunes. The new CD is a follow-up to the
highly successful "Sweet Reggae Music II". Radio programmers are

Born Sydney Sheriff Jr. in Jamaica and now making his home in Upstate
New York , Piankhy has made quite a name for himself in several areas
of the arts. Besides being an amazing musican and singer, Piankhy is a
distinguished actor and has appeared in movies and TV shows such as
Ghostbusters, Crocodile Dundee, Married To The Mob, Fame, The Brother
From Another Planet and many more. He has worked alongside Kevin
Hooks, John Sayles, Ernest Borgnine, Carroll O'Connor and Emily Lloyd.
Piankhy has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) since 1973.

"The Royal Regiment" CD contains many highlights. "Thoughts Concerning
You" has that classic Roots Rock Reggae feel to it. The beat and
inspired words are very powerful. " Fish Outa Water" is Piankhy's
first rap/hip-hop work and radio djs will enjoy the love story told
