Remember the voice of Titanic? The wordless vocals which evoked all
the emotion of the Titanic experience from the best-selling soundtrack
of all time?
Sissel Kyrkjebø (the Norwegian phenom and voice of Titanic) will give
a concert in the de Jong Concert Hall at Brigham Young University on
Saturday, April 30th at 7:30 pm sponsored by the BYU Norwegian
Scholarship Program.
Tickets will go on sale at the Harris Fine Arts Ticket Office on
Monday, April 4th. The ticket office telephone number is (801)

This is a rare opportunity for us in the states to attend a concert
by one of Norway's best and most famous singers.

Sissel will be the guest soloist with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in
Salt Lake City, Utah during their radio and television broadcast on
Sunday, May 1st, which is to commemorate the Norwegian Centennial of
Independence. This will be a special program with Norwegian songs and
Sissel's stunning vocals backed up by the world renowned Tabernacle
Choir. Sissel will sing only 3 or 4 songs (so make sure you attend her
full concert the night before at BYU!).
The choir's regular TV and radio broadcasts originate from the
LDS Conference Center on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah and are
distributed to over 1,800 TV and radio stations around North America
and the world. No tickets are required, but seating is first-come
first-served. The choir broadcast begins at 9:30am on Sunday,
May 1st. Attendees must be in their seats by 9:15am since this
broadcast is being recorded for television. The LDS Conference Center
seats 21,000 people.
