Hey all,
My aca group (Coalescence) has died. :( Sad. Because of this group I
have also begun doing live sound. As such I have 4 Mackie 450s. I need
to unload these because a baby is on the way!

So I am selling a pair for $1,200. That's 2 Mackie powered PA speakers
for 1,200.

They also come with Bags and Stands! These retail for $800 a piece
usually.

We're expecting our first kid and I can't stay in the live a cappella
scene anymore.

Let me know if you're interested please!

(I also have a Mackie Quad EQ that I am selling for 600 OBO, and it's
seen like 3 uses)

Hello :-)

I'm organizing a new choir here in Utah. I thought some of you might
be interested. About half of our music will be a cappella. I've
posted the info below.

All the best,
Ryan
_______

American Fork, Utah - Phoenix Rising seeks experienced singers.

New choir, Phoenix Rising, seeks singers of all voice types with
acapella/chamber choir experience. The choir will be limited to 16

well. Interested singers should contact M. Ryan Taylor at
mryan@... with a brief listing of past choral experience.
If applicable, please send brief information about solo experience
and any instruments played proficiently.

Rehearsals will begin December 2007, preparing several pieces for
a "Twelfth Night" concert on January 5th, 2008. "Twelfth Night" is
the 12th day of Christmas (as in the song) and the concert will focus
on music of the Christmas season. The concert will be in conjunction
with several other performing groups, including the American Fork
Children's choir.

Subject: New web hosting/design service for a cappella groups!
acappellahos...
Send Email Send Email

Acappella Hosting is a web hosting company with a twist: we only provide our services to a cappella groups, both collegiate and professional. Why did I start this company? Because I saw the need through both the group I sing with and also through the other groups I've met over the years.

Over the last few months however, Acappella Hosting has gained considerable ground in the community. We have over 20 collegiate and professional clients and we offer world class service that you normally would have to pay hundreds of dollars for with other companies.

Whether you are looking to just host your website for a fraction of the price you are paying now, or would like us to help design, create, and implement a website for your group, Acappella Hosting is the company to choose.

Whatever your budget we can fit to it, the most important thing is that we are here to help you expand your exposure both on and off stage and we do this by having one-on-one discussions with your members on how to work publicity networks, both public and private. We even set up Facebook, Myspace, and other social networking pages for your group once you sign up. The value here isn't matched anywhere else.

Also for college and other school-associated groups, please ask about our SUMMER DEFERRAL program.. which means while school is out, or when your group isn't performing you don't have to pay the full monthly cost! All that gets charged is a $1.99 service fee which helps cover our cost of operations.

I want you to know that I'm really excited about the possibility of partnering with your group. I give you my guarantee that I will personally oversee your account from start to finish and ensure you get the best quality service that Acappella Hosting can offer. That is why I'm offering discounted hosting and services for the first five months to the first 20 groups who sign with Acappella Hosting in 2008 -- and any other successful group referrals you provide could permanently extend your discounts! All I ask in return is your support through referring Acappella Hosting to others with whom you come in contact. You really can't lose!

We have clients all over the US and recently Canada. We are looking to expand to cover a cappella groups from countries around the world.

Thank you, and I hope to hear from you soon!

"We're here to help build the community, and with your help we can make it happen!"

Entertainment legend XRP—an a cappella group composed of four former
Rockapella members—announced it would make its first major appearance
in 20 years on August 23 at A Cappellastock in Ogden, UT. A
Cappellastock, celebrating its fifth anniversary, is the world's
premier, one-night a cappella music event.

XRP's members, considered by many to be the kings of contemporary a
cappella music, have released award-winning albums and performed
concerts around the world, and were featured by Spike Lee in a highly
acclaimed documentary on a cappella music. Rockapella is remembered
for their work for Folgers, Almond Joy and the hit program Where In
The World Is Carmen San Diego. This is XRP's last scheduled
performance together.

"We're excited about performing together again. This quartet was
my 'dream team'—a group that started a movement of awareness and
appreciation for a cappella music that is still growing, and A
Cappellastock is the proof of that. We may never sing together again,
but it's gonna be one heckuva show!" said Barry Carl, XRP bassist,
who emceed A Cappellastock 2007 and was recently recognized by the
Contemporary A Cappella Society of America as the "the most
influential bass singer of the last 30 years."

"We can't wait to hit that stage. A Cappellastock does it right.
This is a major league rock show with all the trimmings, and it's the
biggest and best a cappella concert this side of the Rockies," Carl
said. "Purely vocal music appeals to all ages. It's inspirational and
deeply powerful—it just goes straight to the heart. It lifts you up
instead of beating you down. Like the A Capellastock ad says, who
needs guitars?"

In addition to XRP, A Cappellastock'08 will offer fans the
opportunity to experience the vocal stylings of T Minus 5, Hi-
Fidelity, Tonic Sol Fa and the Saltaires. These groups, leaders in
the a cappella community, will come together for one night only to
provide a true vocal adventure—and a good time for music lovers of
all ages.

"Because of what we've created with A Cappellastock—the quality, the
reputation—we've attracted one of the greatest reunions of all time,"
said Jeff Peterson from T Minus 5, the conceptual and inspirational
force behind A Cappellastock. "XRP's involvement has created buzz,
excitement and a lot of electricity, even inspiring people from Japan
to come to Utah for the show."

More than 4,000 people—XRP fans, a cappella enthusiasts and
entertainment lovers—will attend this year's event. Tickets have
already been sold in Japan and nearly 10 states.

Tickets for the show start at $10 and are available at
www.acappellastock.com or by calling 801-452-1481. For the second
year, the concert also features a VIP ticket, which includes premium
seating, dinner on Historic 25th Street in downtown Ogden, a private
meet-and-greet with the artists and complimentary concessions.

A Cappellastock will be held at the Ogden Amphitheater, an outdoor
venue located in the Historic Municipal Gardens on the corner of 25th
Street and Washington Boulevard in Ogden, UT. In case of inclement
weather, the event will be held at Ogden High School.

ABOUT A CAPPELLASTOCK
Now in its fifth year, A Cappellastock is the world's premier one-
night a cappella adventure, and magically presents the power of the
human voice. Each year, A Cappellastock draws award-winning a
cappella artists and music fans from around the globe.

If you haven't heard about A Cappellastock, I wanted to send a quick note out to remind you to get your tickets.  A Cappellastock is held in Ogden, Utah on Aug. 23rd.  Come experience the power of the human voice!  We are expecting another sold out crowd of 4000 people.    We have sold tickets from all around the country and as far as Tokyo, Japan!  A Cappellastock has become the largest one night events of its kind.  Get your tickets now and see why Barry Carl said:  "A Cappellastock does it right. This is a major league rock show with all the trimmings…"

XRP are the former members of Rockapella.  This original group of Rockapella has not performed with each other since '91.  They are the group that kicked off the hit TV game show Where In the World Is Carmen Sandiego?, and started the whole contemporary a cappella movement.

Hi-Fidelity has one of the funniest acts.  For those Star Trek fans they do a tribute to the original Star Trek.  You may have also seen them on Last Call with Carson Daily as the joke explainers or the X Box commercial.

Tonic Sol Fa creates more sound from just 4 guys then any other group.  They have sold over a million CD's, have their own Christmas special with PBS, and have performed with Jay Leno and many other.  On a personal note they are truly the inspiration of T Minus 5.  Without them we would not have our bass, Fish.

Of course T Minus 5 will also be performing that night.  We have a few surprises that no other audience has seen yet too.

Get your tickets at www.acappellastock.com or you can also call me personally at 801-452-1481

I hope to see you all there!

?Seen the show twice, and I'm excited to see it again. In fact, if
Mister Tim were the Grateful Dead, I'd be wearing tie-dye and selling
my car to buy a VW Van so I could follow him all over the
country.??This show really IS magic. I end up smiling the whole time,
wondering what will come next. The mix of improv and rehearsed music
is exciting (and last show, reviewers couldn't tell the difference
between the two--thought it was all rehearsed). It's moody,
melancholy, odd, beautiful, and compelling. Grabs you, pops you in,
chews you up, spits you back out, and you've never been so glad to be
a show's lunch.? -Andrew

Pulling from elements of his work as a touring singer, musical theater
actor, songwriter, beatboxer (vocal percussionist), teacher and
contemporary a cappella voice artist, Mister Tim : Vocal Magic is an
exploration of the human voice. "Live-looping," or electronically
layering sounds, Mister Tim builds full songs with just his one voice,
adding drums, instruments, melodies and harmonies, weaving sonic
stories with thoughtfully-written original songs and creatively
twisted covers. Sublime to humorous, with a healthy dose of
audience-fueled improvisation.

VOCAL BAND TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM AT ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Nationally acclaimed a cappella group T Minus 5 will release their fifth album at their annual Christmas concerts Dec. 21 and 22 at Perrys Egyptian Theater in Ogden.

T Minus 5 joined forces with recording engineer and producer Aaron Edson to achieve a new sound for the holiday album. Founding member of T Minus 5, Jeff Petersen said, We have always wanted to record and release a Christmas album and after 10 years we have finally got around to it, but we wanted to do it right. With the strong vocals of T Minus 5, coupled with the creative musical mind of Aaron Edson, this will truly be our best album yet.

The album will feature traditional favorites such as Silent Night, White Christmas and Jingle Bells, along with two original songs: My Christmas Wish and Hes Bornalso the title of the album. The CD will only be available at T Minus 5s annual Christmas Concert and will be $5 off with the purchase of a T Minus 5 Christmas Concert ticket.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at www.peerysegyptiantheater.com, or by calling 801-689-8700. For more information go to www.tminus5.com.

Attached is an MP3of the title track song, enjoy and Merry Christmas! Hope to see you at the concert in December!
