Started on March 25, 2003, vainika is a discussion group for all those interested in the Sarasvati Veena, including practitioners of this instrument.

The goal of this group is to provide a forum for discussion among those desirous of propagating (Sarasvati) Veena music, and exchanging notes on instrumental traditions and technical aspects such as fingering techniques, recording amplification, veena mela reconstruction and other issues.
