Good morning,
Just wanted to share a couple pieces of news regarding Mr. Torme, and events and
projects in the US!
BallBuster Hard Music has in the last few weeks really gone above and beyond in
plugging Bernie and his music! they have several reviews up, a story of his
first night on tour with Ozzy, and soon enough a conversation with fellow
guitarist, Jack Starr. On top of that, the Goldmine article focusing on Deep
Purple did have some good quotes from Bernie, and we do have most of it up on
the site in a downloadable pdf format. Both the BallBuster links and the
Goldmine article are up at http://www.wildwest2004.com/press.htm .
The Retrowrek catalog will soon be available in the US in some way. We are
exploring a couple different options, either thru the Wild West or one of the
online music sites. This is in addition to our continuing search for a label for
the new album, which does proceed.
The Wild West Street Team will be out and about this Thursday, January 29th,
down in New York city. We have been invited to Overdrive -
http://members.aol.com/overdrivenyc/01_29_04/ They will be playing some pretty
neat music including some Bernie. Any suggestions as to what selections I should
bring for them to check out are welcome. Better yet, just come down to Karma ,
downstairs, starting at 9:30. Karma ( http://www.karmanyc.com/ ) is located on
1st Avenue between 3rd & 4th Street, NYC. By Subway: F train to 2nd Avenue.
Clubs are being contacted, negotiations are in progress, dates should be posted
sometime soon! Likewise, we are getting some interesting requests from people -
musicians, in regard to those dates - wanting to be a part of those shows.
Likewise we are exploring contacting a few people who might make for an
interesting bill with Bernie.
So stay tuned for news on the album, the tour dates, and the street team events,
and the loot we continue to offer!
