To make it easy to press on those stiff Roland pedals, try this. I
modified an old Midi Mitigator foot pedal once that had 10 pads as follows:
Drilled holes in the middle of the existing useless membrane touch pedals
and installed some small momentary micro switches.
This could work well with those hard to push Roland switches. Just wire the
small switch in parallel with the existing one. this produces a very light
touch. The switches I used had a small threaded shaft. (Alcoswitch
MSP105F). There are lots of other options depending on the pressure you
want.
I was going to use small pads on the switches but decided to leave the
shafts exposed. I can easily feel the switch with my foot with shoes on of
course :) I don't recommend you tear into your equipment unless you are
confident and determined to improve an original design and void any
warrantees. I personally will sacrifice an affordable/replaceable item to
make it more useful and enjoyable to use. I'm not a collector, I'm a user
that likes to improve mouse traps ;)

Not really, if you want to do this live because there is no one else to
play the bass parts it is an option.
But it's a gadget not a real instrument controller.
And there is the limitation of the FC-200 - 13 pedals/notes to play and
that's it.
