Expresión Latina
9 Días De Rumba
Import CD (Latinexpression CD2005-001), Released 2005;
Produced by Frank 'Papo' Medina
Editor's Pick:
Hard salsa, coming out of Seattle. It's straight up salsa, too, with
a touch of Colombian swing added by Diego and Jaime Gale. The lead
singer, Carlos Cascante, who's just released his own recording, can
sing, and the whole production, recorded in Colombia, is gleaming
and slick in just the right way. Trombones and trumpets in the horn
section, and a tight coro sound that reminds you of, well, Colombian
salsa. It'll sound good on the dance floor.
Highly Recommended. (Peter Watrous, 2005-11-18)
