Funky Cha
CD (Zoho 200605), Released 2006;
Editor's Pick:
Funky Cha is the new release from bassist Harvie S. — his fourth.
He's worked with Paquito D'Riverra, Bobby Sanabria, Chico O'Farrill,
Ray Barretto, Ray Vega, and Arturo O'Farrill to name a few. This
project some classics, like Thelonious Monk's "Rhythm-a-ning" and
Cole Porter's "What is This Thing Called Love?" as well as some
beautiful original compositions like "Marisposa En Mano" and the
title track "Funky Chá."
