Vintage Audio Circle

A group that will discuss all aspects of vintage audio recordings and the artists and people who made them. Focusing on recordings from the earliest Edison experiments to cylinder recordings to 78s.

Concentration will be on music and speech recordings of the late 19th century to the early 20th century (1880s-1950s), although discussion of any 78s will be on topic. Also modern re-releases of VINTAGE recordings, and ways to hear and acquire these recordings (web sites, CDs, original recordings) will also be encouraged, as well as keeping "alive" the people that made them.

We will also touch on classic and old time radio broadcasts and recordings thereof.
