Dear Violists on this Site: We are going through another down bump
again. It wasn't long ago that there was a very unpleasant fellow who
wasted a lot of our time and caused much annoyance on the viola
list. Ultimately he was blocked from this site.
Such sites as ours have much to offer but there will always be those
one or two on it who see this as their shining moment in the sun and
to be on center stage and do all kinds of things, sometimes attacking
others. We can't prevent the foibles of human nature, but I would
hope that our overseer will use his good sense to stop such things
before they really get out of hand. This seems to be happening again.
I can only hope that the few who have gotten way out of line will
shape up, be respectful and not indulge in attacks on character or
purpose of others.
We should expect much more than that from our brother and sister
violists -- a group of musicians that I still believe are at the top
of the musical ladder when it comes to humility and decency.
Just a few word of perhaps little purpose.
