Dear Lucille,
Thank you very much for sending the copies of the
three articles about Selena from the three
different newspapers in Texas.
I enjoyed reading them and learned some new
things. Have you considered sharing them with
some other Selena Yahoo Groups?
I was surprised to read that in the early years
of the band, Abraham Q., drove his family as far
away as Arizona and even Idaho for some gigs. And
this was a long time before they finally got the
big bus.
I feel sorry for Selena's parents, not only for
the loss of their daughter, but also for the fact
that it happened when Selena was becoming a
celebrity. That makes it hard to put those
memories in the back of their minds.
I didn't know of Selena until I went to see the
movie. The loss of her would have affected me
just like the Challenger disaster in 1986. I
cried a lot of real tears then and felt
broken-hearted. Somehow, the loss of the Columbia
over Texas didn't affect me the same way.
Best wishes, Dale

can be found, Pecina left words of remembrance on
the monument's brick floor.
