Hello Aaron, actually, i am involved with a band called The Recipe on
a grassroots volunteer level,(we built there new website, but are
just fans.. you can see what we did
here:http://www.therecipefamily.com) i'm also involved in a group
called The Homegrown Music Network. Well, i kind of helped a venue
become a member of the network (you can check out what they do here:
http://www.homegrownmusic.net) The venue is Nelson Ledges Quarry Park
(www.nlqp.com) and i noticed that they had Joe Deninzon playing
there, i was lucky enough to catch Joe at a small venue in cleveland,
and was hooked on his sound.. (i don't remember how i came across his
site, except that it had something to do with a fiddle search) i
hadn't been back to his site in some time, but was receiving his
email. unfortunately the god's conspired against us whenever he was
near enough to play that we couldn't see him. Anyways, i went back
to joe's site because i was excited that he would be playing such a
great venue so close to home (and again the god's at work, i am being
transferred to reading pa from cleveland oh) but of course that won't
work out.. and i kind of got involved with another venue, The Church
of Universal Love and Music in acme pa, so the last email i rec'd
from joe i replied that he should check them out, i was happy to hear
that he already had sent a disk so i emailed the venue to put in a
good word, there's a chance we'll be able to go to that venue.
Anyways, saw your link on Joe's page, i had to check out the rockin
cello.. and then i saw your musicians only thread, of course i had to
look,, and i thought your writing was very insightful, so i had to
pass it on to the band we're working for (i'm not real comfortable
saying i work for them, but thats another story)
i went to show someone that page and your site was down...
If you have a chance, check out the Recipe's website, we made it, and
what we tried to convey is how the band makes us feel... and they are
always up for a jam, crossing the musical boundries of many styles in
the purist (imho) of jamband style.. we are trying to make as many
shows available online as possible through the use of archive.org
they host a "lossless" transfer of music using a couple types of
compression, either shn or flac which is becoming more popular.. just
finding the time is a bit problematic.. i don't know if i will be
able to post much over the next few weeks, my relocation came up
quickly (for my real world job) and i start in pa monday the 12th..
please let me know when your site is available, you can email me at
keith@...
be well
keith
