Re: Repertoire to enthuse (Level 2ish)

We have just completed the annual BASBWE/CANFORD International Wind
Band Conducting Course at Canford, 27 students from UK, Germany and
Israel - next year's course will be 2 - 9 August, 2009.

We studied three works of particular interest to school band
conductors, at about Grade 4 the very moving Passacaglia by Timothy
Jackson, and at Grade 2, Nancy's Lament by Malcol Binney and The Fir
Darrig by Fergal Carroll, both in the Genesis series of Maecenas, and
both available to be heard together with the rest of the Maecenas
Genesis Repertoire at www.markheron.co.uk/private.htm

More about the course available soon on BASBWE and Mark heron's
website.

Best wishes for the Fall or Spring
Tim Reynish
