This series features new songwriters on the last Thursday of every month, from 7:00-11:15 pm. Sets consist of 35-40 minutes of lyrically driven and timely songs. Stain is appropriate for singer-songwriters, anti- and post-folksters, and rockers capable of performing with arrangements suitable for intimate and quieter spaces, without amplification. The first hour, from 7-8, consists of “something of an open mic” for songwriters to try out their newest material. The first five performers to show up are welcomed to perform.
Admission to bar/café is free. Stain serves a range of wines and beers and coffee at reasonable prices. There is a happy hour from 5-8, free wireless internet and, on the best days, an A+ cat.
