Skepticism greets study on possible "alien microbes"
A paper to appear in a scientific journal is raising eyebrows, claiming a
strange red rain may have recently brought cells from space to Earth. (Article

The new "Weird Al" CD, "Poodle Hat," will be available on May 20th. It's
what we've been waiting for! And, as for Weird Al's guest shot on "The
Simpsons," unless I'm wrong, that happens this weekend, April 13th.

I just found out that Weird Al Yankovic will be doing a voice-over
for an upcoming episode of "The Simpsons." I don't know if he'll be
playing himself or another character. Anyway, I'll post more as it
develops.
Weird Al's movie "UHF" was recently released on DVD. Does anyone
plan to get it? True, the movie didn't do that well in theaters, but
the DVD has sold very well!
If Yahoo! was going to merge its Clubs and Groups, don't you think they'd have
done it by now? I mean, just get it the hell over with! Or have they changed
their minds?
Al has already proven himself to be a talented music video director. I've
already seen the one he did for Hanson that spoofs "Titanic." Maybe he'll
direct his own feature someday?
Al directed Ben Fold's new video for "Rockin' the
Suburbs". A clip of the video and behind the scenes footage
of Al in action can be found at
<a href=http://www.benfolds.com target=new>http://www.benfolds.com</a> (Note:
Al's the one in the Hawaiian
shirt...ha)<br><br>I'm looking forward to seeing the whole video. The
song is kinda catchy..."I'm rockin' the suburbs, just
like Michael Jackson did...except that he was
talented" <br><br>Way Seti <|:~)<br>(still among the
living, but aluminum foil hat was struck by
lightning)<br>"But I'm feeling 'much' better now"
Actually, I do check in periodically. I just don't always post. But it's true
that there's not so much activity around here. I'll try to pitch in a little
more.
Seems like I'm the only one around here that bothers to check in..........Is
our once great club dying? I hope not, we have too many numbers to crunch, and
to much Al to listen to
Any brits out there want 2 join our british team please go to <a

We've never had Dr. Demento in my area so I've
been depraved...er, deprived. However, I was able to
listen for the first time a few months ago over the
internet! It was great to finally hear the show! The
quality was not up to radio standards, made worse by the
fact that I had a 56k dial-up connection at the time,
but it was a great way to spend a Sunday
night.<br><br>Regarding stations in your area, this is what the FAQ from
rec.music.dementia has to say...
<br><br><a href=http://php.indiana.edu/~jbmorris/FAQ/faq.html
target=new>http://php.indiana.edu/~jbmorris/FAQ/faq.html</a><br>Where can I hear
"The Dr. Demento Show" in my area? Can
I hear him on RealAudio?<br>The show's distributor
has a policy of not giving out an official list of
stations that broadcast the show. So, our own Scooby
(ras@...) faithfully keeps track of readers' reports of
what stations do and do not broadcast the good Dr.'s
show, and posts a list to rec.music.dementia regularly.
The latest list can also be obtained at the WWW FAQ
site <a href=http://php.indiana.edu/~jbmorris/
target=new>http://php.indiana.edu/~jbmorris/</a> or by mailing
the auto-reply FAQ server
jbmorris@... with STATIONS as your subject line. RealAudio
sites which broadcast the show are also listed in this
radio log. <br><br>Hope this helps and stay

protest letter to the station that dropped his show and
an encouragement letter to any other stations that
you think might pick it up
Anybody have a list of stations that play the Dr. Demento radio show? I used to
love listening to it every week, until my favorite station stopped running it.
I'd love to hear it again!
Recently, I was in this bookstore in Oakland,
when I saw this newsprint magazine with a caricature
of Weird Al on the cover. I think the magazine's
name was Cool and Strange Music. Anyway, Al's profiled
on the inside. If you can find this 'zine, check it
out!
also, if you like weird al then you'll love the
apologetix. there a christian group that is called the
christian weird al yankovic. on their fourth album jon
