I thought he's lived here for awhile. Where did he live before. His wife had a
baby a couple years (?) ago. I saw him at the Troubadour maybe four years ago.

I heard he moved to Los Angeles to write songs. Can anyone confirm this?

It sure is good to hear some news about Wes Cunningham! Pass on my best wishes
as well, and tell him he has plenty of fans! I am a member of several music
lists and have heard many other praise his music as well!

Thanks Clay-
Good to hear something; the music still means a lot to me. Pass on my
greetings and good wishes (and I bet a lot of other people on the
list would say the same :-)

Wow! Real news. thanks for chiming in, Clay! (or is it Arnold?). I
wish Wes would put out another solo disc, but I understand if he
can't make the economics of it work. Any way we can find out if he
ever does any shows in So. Cal? I guess I'm assuming he's in LA. I'm
in San Diego, and I'd make the three hr (plus plus during any drive
times) to see him if so.
Anyway, thanks again for the news. Keep us informed if you hear
anything else if you don't mind.

It has been over a year since a message has been posted on the list.
As I sit listening to Pollyanna again, I am wondering if anything is
up with WC. As the list owner, I don't have any magic insight, but
perhaps someone else out there does.
Anyone know anything?

My brother and I are working on some screenplays, and
have committed to make Wes known if we ever get
anywhere with our movies.
I'm angered that his music fell on deaf ears at WB.
His music grabs a person and brings them to a place
where life is colorful again, and there are many
people starved for that kind of impact. But maybe Wes
will end up like a David Gray - make some great music
with stupid labels, and finally catch a break 4 or 5
albums down the road. Hopefully Wes will make a 3rd.
We can still be active in supporting him, though.
Pollyanna is a great gift for anyone (because who
can't use a little Pollyanna in their life, right?),
and is still well in stock at CDBaby.com.
Anyway, there's my plug. Keep listening and supporting
Wes and anyone else making all the best music that's
barely for sale.

You should really check out Nickel Creek's 'Why Should The Fire Die'.
It's their latest and I believe their best.
I was on a major Wes kick today. I continue to miss him and hope he

I believe "Music Television" is quite a misnomer nowadays - from what
I'm told, MTV hasn't played music videos in years. But other cable and
satellite channels have popped up to do so. I have a friend that keeps
satellite music on all day.

I honestly couldn't tell you, I don't watch television but the video has
been out for probably over a year now so I doubt there's much circulation
going on at the time. Last we heard, Wes was taking a break after his wife
had a child last year.

Hello everyone,
Thought I'd drop a line to the group while taking a break from
preaching Wes' music to the masses. I don't have TV, but saw the
video on the website. Has it been in circulation on the music video
channels?
Kitti
Hi WC members- I hope you are having a good year! (I hope we can hear some
news from Wes soon!)
Some of you know this from the Jellyfish list, but for those not on it and
are Jellyfish nuts, Roger Manning just released a new CD called 'Solid
State Warrior'
This is an internet only release, and I have song files here:
http://catatonic.org/rm/
The files are Windows Media and they are DRM protected through
Weedshare: http://www.weedshare.com
The Weedshare system allows 3 plays, then a purchase is required. I hope
all who are interested will try this method because it's the artist who
benefits and Roger does not have a big label contract. Downside, Weedshare
is a Windows only method right now; it's not yet compatible with Mac OSX
but they claim they are working on it. (If you have both OSes you can burn
yourself a copy in Windows and import into iTunes which worked just fine
for me.)
If you sign up for a weedshare account, they give you $5 credit; the rest
of his songs are $1.25 a piece.
As for the music, it is excellent! A blend of some very Jelly-like music,
with a pastiche of influences from the 60s and 70s.
Cheers!
I saw Mother sol on Wes's old page, and Someone there had a copy of
it and was willing to dub it for me, but alas no copy yet. :(
I keep looking on ebay but still nothing
Wish I could help, Muffin, but all I have of Wes' are "12 ways..." and
"Pollyanna." I didn't know anything else existed. Now, of course, I
need to know more. Anyone have a complete Wes discography they want to
share?

Sorry, I don't know who lives in Fredricksburg, I guess other than Wes!

does Wes allow his gigs to be recorded and traded? If
so, maybe he'd like to participate in the Live Music

Are there any extant FM broadcasts or gigs available?

Hi Jeff-
Yeah, I got his first CD as a fluke also. I was looking for jewel cases at
a local record store. '12 Ways..' was in a bin out front free for the
taking. (I think he was pretty poorly treated by his record company then-
you've heard the story for emerging artists.) Anyway, I was blown away. I
agree, Pollyanna is even better. It's short, but there ain't a dog in the
kennel.

He and his wife had a baby a few months ago, so at that time he was pretty
consumed with that. I don't think he is personally on the list though I
will sometimes get a note to pass on here from his management as this list
is publicly viewable. I hope to hear of some more music, either recorded
or maybe some gigs soon. :-)
