Joel, What a great idea! Don't have anything for you directly, but I'm
wondering if you're in the S_W_M (Southwestern Music History) Yahoo group as
well? There are a lot of western swing historians in that group who've been
helpful to me in my classes. (I've taught a western swing course at
Chautauqua Institution here in western New York state, and have included
western swing in my American Music and the forthcoming American Ethnic and
Regional Music courses at State University of New York at Fredonia, where I
also have a radio show, which includes western swing and a lot of other
music of all types.) Check also, if you haven't with the folks at
http://www.texasplayboys.net who have a really good discussion forum (two of
Bob Wills' daughters join in on that forum, as does historian Buddy
McPeters). You might find leads to what you're looking for through that
forum.
Good Luck!
Tom Bingham
