We have more sad news.
 
I did get notes from Dugg Collins and Jesse Morris that Sheb
Wooley passed away yesterday at age 82.  His last public
appearance was for the Johnny Cash funeral.  Sheb was born in
OK and was a rodeo rider before his illustrious seven decade
career in Western music, TV and film.  We'll have a more
detailed bio in our next WSM.
 
And Jody Nix sent in an email that Bill Madrey, Hoyle Nix' West
Texas Cowboy passed away yesterday, also.  Those of you at
Snyder this year were awed by his fabulous lead guitar work at
the Nix Reunion show on Saturday.  Here is the info on services
for Bill:
 
"A Memorial Service will be at 2pm Saturday Sept. 20th at the
Northridge Baptist Church on FM 2105 in San Angelo, Texas. 
Cards may be sent to Mrs. Madry at 3254 Fruitland Farm Court
San Angelo, Texas 76903."
