A Gathering of Cowgirl Culture, Music and Poetry

from across the nation! Admission for each show is $10.00 for
members, $15.00 for nonmembers. Full Gathering Passes are $40.00 for

SHOW 1: Women of the West
12 to 1:30 p.m.
Molly Flanagan
Local cowgirl poet that has performed all over the West at Festivals
and Gatherings will present cowgirl poetry for your listening pleasure.
Joni Harms
Joni most recently won Song of the Year for 2003 through the Western
Music Association for `Cowboy Up."
Liz Masterson
Liz is known as "The Songbird of the Sage" has performed throughout
the US and Canada, specializing in yodeling and Western music.
SHOW 2: Hometown Heroines
2 to 3:45 p.m.
Katy Moffatt
Debuting in 1976 with Katy on Columbia Records, Moffatt has continued
to grow and expand her own artistry, so effectively that November 2002
saw the reissue of her first two Columbia albums, Katy and Kissin' In
The California Sun, on compact disc. Hers is a career marked by
consistent critical acclaim, industry appreciation (a 1985 Academy of
Country Music nomination as Best New Female Vocalist).
Belinda Gail
Belinda has won the Western Music Association's "Female Performer of
the Year" award four consecutive years (1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002).
SHOW 3: Three Generations: A Tribute to Carolina Cotton, Patsy
Montana, and Dale Evans
4:30 to 6 p.m.
Janet McBride pays tribute to Carolina Cotton and Cotton's daughter
will introduce the show. Over the years Janet McBride has received
numerous Achievement Awards from the Country Music Awards (now the
Academy of Country Music).
Judy Coder performs the music of Patsy Montana. During the 1930s
Patsy Montana drew crowds of over 100,000 before the term "Superstar"
had been coined. The fans adored her, yet her personal safety was
never in question. Her self-penned "I Want to Be a Cowboy's
Sweetheart" hit the Top Ten on Billboard's Pop Chart. The song sold
over a million records.
Ginni Mac sings the songs of Dale Evans, "Queen of the West." (Rob
Johnson) grandson of Roy and Dale will tell the story of his beloved
grandmother from a point of view that is uniquely his.
SHOW 4: The New Stars of Western Music
6:45 to 8 p.m.
Border Radio
Border Radio is a fantastic act. Their music is extremely well written
and the song arrangements are done tastefully. Watch for this group to
rise quickly to prominence in the Western Music scene.Kip CalahanIn
2003, Kip received the Academy of Western Artists' Female Vocalist of
the Year and Western Music Association Crescendo (Rising Star) Award.
SHOW 5: Christina Ortega & Don Edwards 8:30 to 10 p.m.Christina
OrtegaChristina and her band were recently selected by the North
American Folk Alliance (out of 600 worldwide applicants) to be
alternate main stage showcase artists, as well as performers on the
Latin Music showcase at their recent international trade show in San
Diego. Don Edwards Don Edwards continues to build a recorded legacy
enriching our vision of the American West. The quality of this
balladeer's music stems from the fact that he is so much more than a
singer. Late Night Campfire Jam10 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.South LawnJoin us
as we wrap the day up with a good old jam session by campfire!
