Western Swing Handbook   Message List

Hi Y'all

I wonder can you help me please?

I am new to the group and I am seeking information regarding the best
sources for information about Western Swing music. What I am looking for is
*dates* of events. I am thinking of compiling a Western Swing Handbook, a
catalogue of events, possibly limited to Bob Wills and associates, or ,if
need be, for the wider spectrum of Western Swing music. The handbook would
be set out like a diary, with a page for every day of the year and on each
page I would record an activity regardless of the year in which the event
took place. Do I explain myself sufficiently well?

I know there are websites, books and LPs/CDs etc which will have lots of the
data that I am seeking, such as birthdates, recording sessions, special
events, dates of passing and tribute activities. Can anybody direct me to
the best sources for the information that I am seeking please?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Cheers
