Barry Doss died suddenly yesterday morning while getting dressed. He
had an anurism and death was instant. He never felt anything or
recovered consiousness. His cremains will be burried in Cameron Texas
which was his birthplace and also the place that Bob Wills picked him
up to be his promo. He had recently written two books on Western Swing
and on how hard it is to get to the top and then to stay there. He was
the last survivor of Bob Wills last tour in 1964 when Bob had a stroke
in Phoenix Arizona and collapsed into Barry's arms outside of the venue.
