Howdy friends, we have some sad news from Barb Marting concerning
Texas fiddler Frankie McWhorter.

I got calls from Harry Coffman in OKC and Ronnie Hohweiler in
Woodward, OK.
and with the sad news
that Frankie McWhorter passed away this morning in his sleep. He was 76
Ronnie thinks. Frankie retired a couple months ago from regular
appearances
with Don and Angie House's Thomas Country Opry up in OK. Of course
funeral
arrangements are not yet made. He and Virginia moved to town last year -
address for cards is Box 245, Higgins, TX. 79046.

We've lost a kind heart, one of the best racanteurs ever and of course an
extraordinary swing and hoedown fiddler. A fun, kind man. God rest his
soul.
