Re: Canterbury feature on BBC Kent website

Hi Aymeric,

The videos on the website are interesting and are edited versions of those that
BBC Kent are currently showing - Last night (Thursday) they broadcast an
interview that Robin Gibson (BBC journalist) did with Robert Wyatt. I assume
that the interview was recorded earlier this week because when I was talking
with Robin at Hugh's funeral last Thursday he mentioned that he had managed to
persuade Robert to see him (or as Robin put it "...Robert gave a 'rock-and-roll
yes'...").

But its good to see the BBC taking an interest locally - they have been
broadcasting these interviews at 18:30 during the early evening news programme -
so should be hitting a reasonable audience in terms of numbers.

Then next Friday we have Gong playing at the 'Lounge On The Farm' weekend
festival in Canterbury (which is getting better year by year) - and I thought I
was going... but it turns out that I will be in Paris. How did that happen.

Best,

Simon K
Canterbury.

I've been watching the Wyatt interview clips. Interesting how he seems to refuse to use Mike Ratledge's name. He refers to him either as "the organist" or...
