Hi all,
Here=B4s a short reflection from me after seeing Whiskeytown live for the=
first time.
They played for about forty minutes, and the first thirty minutes were
excellent. After that, they played a couple of songs that I didn=B4t like=
that
much. I didn=B4t think there were going to be an encore =B4cause they wai=
ted for
more than ten minutes before they got up on stage again. The encore was a=
twenty minutes long song, and about fifteen minutes of that was mostly
guitar feedback. I could tell that most people in the audience didn=B4t l=
ike
that too much.
All in all it was a good show, but when you consider that I had a four ho=
ur
drive to get there, I=B4m not sure if it was worth it for thirty minutes =
of
great music.
Ryan didn=B4t say a thing during the whole show, so it was pretty hard to=
tell
what shape he was in. To me, he seemed to be a troubled young man.
I don=B4t have a song list, but a friend of mine taped the show, so I hop=
e I
get to listen to that sometime. Unfortunately, it usually takes him sever=
al
months to get the tapes to me.
I would like to see them again, but I don=B4t think I will travel that fa=
r to
do it.
