I have been feeding my drum addiction over the winter...I have two new congas, a
dholak, and two of the remo children's rainforest drums, one tubano and one
floor tom that have a cool industrial sound to them.

I also got some 12" and 14" goatskin rounds for either replacing heads or making
new drums with.

I plan to place another order for skins as I neglected to get one large enough
for the Djembe, so if anyone has any requests let me know ASAP so I can order
it.

We should be in great shape for drums when the time comes.

Can't wait!

The location in front of Warren is excellent for fair weather!!  I would not
want to relocate, as I agree, the walk by traffic is terrific.

We have decided to start drum circle up again.It will still be in
front of the warren theater in oldtown.We will go from 7:00 till 10:00
Friday and Saturday as long as it's above 50 and not raining.
   We are currently looking for sponsors to get a box truck my van is
too small and is about shot.
   Also we need to start promoting think about good places to call we
are going to be on kmuw's calendar soon.

Why is it not spring yet?!?!!!  [:((]   I'm ready to drum!!!!

Actually, before we start the circle back up,  I need to rehead some of
my drums (Yes, the head on that Remo finally split all the way).

This weekend I will be placing an order with Moscow Hide & Fur for some
rawhide rounds and maybe a full goatskin.  If anyone else would like to

BTW Chris,  I found a really good book on drum construction that
includes ceramic, staved, & frame drums.  Did you still have the

Hey, I hope you had a wonderful time on Saturday evening. Attending a drum
circle sounds like an excellent way to celebrate a birthday, but since mine is
after Thanksgiving it will probably be too cold to be in the Plaza downtown. Ha
ha
Sorry I cut out so suddenly on Friday evening. I was feeling better and then
suddenly it felt like the drums were inside my head, and people were beating on
the outside of my head. Never had that happen quite like that before - but noise
is always a problem when I get a headache.
Eating usually helps, apparently the blood flows lower to help with digestion
instead of putting pressure on my head, but the night manager at Wendy's decided
to close early and I couldn't get the sandwich I was hungry for. Pissed me off
so much I looked 'em up online and send a message. The store manager actually
wrote back saying he had looked into it and dealt with the night manager
"according to policies and procedures" whatever that means. AND he said he would
send me a coupon for a free meal. Good deal, eh?
