Dear Cedar Patron,
The Cedar’s 20th season is nearly finished, and it has been de-LIGHT-ful: After a successful Light the Marquee campaign, the historic neon sign was fixed and has working lights for the first time in 15 years! The Cedar also launched a number of new programs, and a new sound system provides an unrivaled listening experience. Despite these successes, The Cedar (a 501c3 non-profit) faces a challenging 2009 due to the economic downtown. Now is the time to show that you’re made of Cedar!
The Cedar’s 2009 campaign, Cedar Staycation, allows donors like us to support an important arts organization and enjoy affordable entertainment. Become a Staycationer: donate $50 or more and get 2-for-1 ticket prices at the door on select concerts including:
Chicha Libre on Saturday, September 12
Warsaw Village Band on Thursday, October 29
Tim Eriksen on Thursday, November 5
Mountain Heart on Sunday, December 13
With more 2-for-1 Staycation concerts to be announced!
Lots of folks are talking up staycations as a way to survive the recession and still have fun, and The Cedar is coming to the rescue with incredible Staycation options. Take the new Cedar Outdoors program: free concerts (and drink specials!) every Thursday night in July and August. Plus, exciting shows are scheduled for the new season this fall including the first annual Global Roots Festival featuring Argentinean/Uruguayan fusion group Bajofondo and South African sensation, BLK JKS.
Treat yourself to a concert, snag some savings, and support an important part of your community: The Cedar! Donate or learn more at thecedar.org/donate. The campaign runs through the end of the year, but the sooner you donate, the sooner you’ll be able to take advantage of this awesome deal.
See you at The Cedar,
David, Cedar Staycationer
