games.

Location: in the beer tent area
Business: The stated business is election of officers. However, SEE NOTE BELOW.

Note from the Executive Committee:
Please be advised that The Executive Committee is not certain that notification
of the
meeting was sent to branch members 30 days in advance, as required by bylaws. If
so, this
meeting cannot serve as an AGM.

The EC's suggestion is that branch members present at the meeting discuss
business
matters, and determine a place and time to hold a formal AGM, perhaps at the
Pomona
games. Then request the email addresses of all Southern Branch members from the
Solo
and Band Registrars and email a summary, proposed agenda, and time and place of
the
AGM to all branch members, at least 30 days in advance of the meeting. This
summary
should also invite nominations for candidates for election. In this way all
members will be
aware of branch business and can make plans to be represented at the meeting.

This is in no way meant to discount the work that John Partenan and Gary Speed
have done
to reestablish the Southern Branch bank account and many other things. They have
worked hard under difficult conditions.
