I've owned this guitar for about 5 years and only just now found this
group when I want to sell it! I have a DY80 12 string to sell- it's
just not getting much use these days.

Some details: It's a fabulous guitar, handmade in 1990 (serial
#42558), no issues and in excellent condition, with a few cosmetic
scratches that you might expect from a 19 yr old guitar. For a 12
string it's very easy to play with a nicely contoured neck. I used it
exclusively and lightly in a smoke free studio environment- it never
saw a club as long as I have owned it. Apparently, the previous owner
added a small tortoise shell guard just under the bridge- probably to
keep from scratching the guitar when changing strings. I've never seen
another Yairi with it. In any case, it's small and doesn't really
detract from the look or functionality of the guitar. The case is a
recently purchased SKB Freedom hardshell, non-original ( I never had
the original case).
