HI Peter,
There is a message from a once removed previous owner of this exact TX802, down
the thread 2 or 3 messages. It looks like a clock doesn't always want to start.
Many solutions to get the needed 4 MHz signal were offered, all within my means,
but I've become lazier of late and willlikely just let it run (at 15W I have
limited guilt). I doubt that this is the original battery, but probably ought
to change it - surely befor I do anything with the start up issues. Willlet you
know if it affects it.
I have responded to the ROM message separately, 1 message down the thread.
Thanks Again,
Nick

system -- instructions follow. Secondly, turn it on, if it does not boot, leave
it on for about ten minutes, and then power cycle it. If it comes up, it's most
likely a bad battery.

copies of mine. If I recall, there is a set of four, 64K ea. A CPU-A, CPU-B
and two for the presets. Somewhere in the up-Rev's the presets changed
slightly, so if you are a Rev-1, you most likely need / want all four of them.

line and I will dig them out and the Docs for replacing them. The cost would be
for mailing them and a couple of bucks each for the chips is all. I am out on
the road right now so it would be a few days before I could get to it.
