HI EVERYBODY!!
I love autumn. The leaves are starting to turn to brilliant orange,
yellows & reds. There's a crispness in the air, & Halloween decorations are
already up. This year we have the usual pumpkins & mums lining the steps, & a
string of bat lights above the door. When kids come to the Levin house on
Halloween they can only get a treat after they scream really loud into a
microphone that echoes the sound throughout the street. The louder you yell;
the bigger the treat. (4 year old girls are the loudest & shrillest.) Oh, the
neighbors just love us!
THE LEVINS are looking forward to a few fun events this month. Our
town has an annual bon fire/harvest night, where Yosi DJ's, kids roast
marshmallows, folks sing & dance around the fire, a story teller tries to
scare you with a local legend, & (the favorite) a screaming & howling
contest. (Did I already say 4 year old girls can really belt out an
unbelievable shrill of a scream?) My ears are still ringing from last year's
contest.
The kids are changing their minds everyday about what they'll be
wearing this Halloween. We are planning Nik & Matt's Birthday Party a bit
early this year, & making it a spooky Halloween Party, with dunking for
apples (in popcorn), pin the tail on the witch & a costume parade. (Do
witches have tails?)

> BABY FUN: Jonathan (4 mo.old) is starting to hold his head up, enjoying

YOSI & RAFFI IN CONCERT: Yosi had the pleasure of opening for Raffi @
The Kimmel Center on 9/28/02. The <A HREF="http://kimmelcenter.org/">Kimmel
Center</A> is absolutely gorgeous, &
the staff was very accommodating. It was quite an opportunity to perform
there. Especially just prior to the world famous Raffi, whom we adored since
Hannah was a baby. And it was captured on Philly's Action News 6 & broadcast
later that evening! Raffi was wonderful in concert. Yosi will be performing
again at the Kimmel Center in the winter & spring. We'll keep you posted.
