Welcome to the February edition of the Yosi & Family Newsletter!
We have some cool, exciting news & lots of shows this month!

The new Yosi CD available real SOON!

The upcoming CD, titled: Under A Big Bright Yellow Umbrella, will be here
by the end of February/early March! The past couple of weeks have been spent
mixing & mastering the album to get it sounding it's best. We are very happy
with the way it sounds!
This will be the best Yosi CD yet! There's great musicians, kids singing
& lots of great types of music, ranging from Reggae to Blues, Rock to

Interesting side note: This CD will be produced in CD format only. That's
right, no cassettes will be produced this time. It seems that while CD sales
are up, cassette sales are dropping with each passing album. In a poll of
regional & national children's recording artist we have found that 90% of those
polled are no longer producing cassettes. The 10% that are still issuing
cassettes are reducing the amounts of tapes produced, or reducing their prices
just
to get rid of their inventory.
The CD cover art is absolutely beautiful! We want to take this
opportunity to introduce the wonderfully talented children's book illustrator
who has
made the CD cover art. Her name is Kim Adlerman, & she has produced a beautiful
piece of art for this CD.
Kim, along with her husband, Danny, are friends of Yosi & they have
authored some wonderful children's books. We are so very proud & thankful for
Kim's
invaluable contribution to the album.

The Levin Bunch
January has been a cold month, but it was a fun one at the Levin abode.
With the beginning of the new year our newest pet, "tinsel," the leopard gecko,
turned over a "new leaf"...or more accurately, "skin." Within one day
"Tinsel" turned a ghostly white & started shedding her skin. As if that wasn't
amusing & interesting enough, she then proceeded to eat her skin! Yup, her
entire
outer layer of skin from head to toe was devoured in a matter of 20 minutes! It
was an intense & fascinating event for the Levin brood. So intense no one
remembered to video tape it.
Another, less endearing, spectacle is occurring here. Matt & Nik (both 7
yrs. old) have no front teeth. Collectively they have lost 8 teeth in the past
two months & if they lose any more it'll be nothing but a yogurt diet for
these gummy boys. Just don't ask them to say "Cheese"...it ain't a pretty sight.
Jonathan is now 20 months old. Up until now he has been learning how to
climb chairs & test the limits of his abilities, not to mention gravity & other
theories of physics. It was all very charming. However, now our happy toddler
turned into "Tantrum Boy!" Oh, yes. This sweet cutie no longer just yells
when not getting his way. He now screeches a screaming cries & throws his entire
body into an uncontrollable fit of rage, indignation & drama.
In other, less traumatizing news, Hannah reached her goal & sold 100 girl
scout cookie boxes. Now, guess who has to distribute all of them.
