The NEW Yosi CD is here!
Welcome to the Yosi & Family March 2004 newsletter. This will be a short one,
whereas we are so busy with CD orders & getting the new CD, UNDER A BIG
BRIGHT YELLOW UMBRELLA, to radio stations, TV, newspapers & other media!
See & hear the new CD here: www.YosiMusic.com
THANK YOU'S:
I want to take this opportunity to thank those who put their efforts on
the album.
First, & foremost, Steve Jankowski, who produced & mastered the CD. He
also played amazing trumpet & trombone on tracks like "Hole in The Ground" &
"Stinky Blues." Steve's dedication, creativity & hard work is all over this CD.
He also produced last year's CD, Monkey Business. Thanks Steve...it's always a
pleasure. See his site: www.SteveJankowski.com
Now, we've been getting a lot of compliments on the cover art. The vivid,
three dimensional, beautiful art was done by a well-known children's book
illustrator, Kim Adlerman. Thanks Kim for making this CD cover gorgeous! See
Kim's work: www.DannyandKim.com
Those great guitar riffs, chops & solos you can hear throughout the album
are performed by an old friend of ours, Pete Groff. Pete & Yosi were in two
bands back in college. (When we was Rock 'n Roll.) Pete's still the best guitar
player I know! Thanks Pete, not only for your great performances, but your
advice, ideas & creativity throughout the recording process.
Thanks to Steve Gioglio for great drums throughout this album & Monkey
Business too. Thanks Andy Huenerberg, who played wonderful bass & came up with
some cool rhythmic ideas. Thanks Jose M. Loo for great Piano & that amazing
vocal on "Selling Salt in The Sahara." Deb Lyons, thank you, for the wonderful
vocals on "Balloon", "Friends", & "Selling Salt." That soulful harmonica on
"Stinky Blues" & "Train Medley" was performed by Danny Clinch. John Drymon did
an
excellent job on the Banjo. Cliff Pecota was just great on baritone & alto sax
on "Where Do All Things Come From?"
Finally, warmest thank you's go to all the kids. Eleven kids! Thanks
Hannah, Matthew, Nikolaus, Elizabeth, Katherine, Maghan, Christopher, HayLee,
Tony, Adriana & Nina! You are all wonderful singers & your talents are very much
appreciated. (Oh, of course, we can't forget your parents! Thanks parents for
driving the kids to the studio, working on their parts & being so very
supportive.)
