MUSIC AWARDS

We have some exciting news to start off:
UNDER A BIG BRIGHT YELLOW UMBRELLA, the new Yosi CD, has just won two
awards:
1) iParenting Media Award
2) Film Advisory Board Award of Excellence
We are very pleased that this album is doing so well, & hope that it
continues to find favor amongst children, families & media.

LEVIN FAMILY

We've had a VERY busy month of May. Hannah, Matthew, & Nikolaus have
completed their swimming lessons & have learned to swim freestyle, the breast
stroke, side stroke & frog stroke. They are all ready for the hot summer days at
their grandpa's (Poppy's) pool. In fact the pool was opened just two weeks ago,
& they have been have a ball! Jonathan (who's turning 2 years old this month)
was very happy to join them with his "Swim Sweater" (an inner tube sawn into
swimsuit). Just like his older siblings, Jon loves the water and will stay in
it ALL DAY LONG!
Mother's day was a mellow time at Nana's house. We lazed about catching
butterfly's with nets, making brownies, & playing, our current favorite card
game, phase 10.
Oh, did you catch Shrek 2? It's a must see! We absolutely loved it! The
humor & writing was great. Kids & parents will enjoy it equally. We parents did
not, however, enjoy the price of refreshments at the concession stand.
Beware: the value combo is of "value" to the cinema owner only.
Hannah had a great project for this year's school science fair. It was a
lemon clock. Basically the lemon acts as battery to a digital clock. She used
a lemon, an apple, & a lime. It actually works! The lemon lasted the longest;
powering the clock for nearly an hour. Surprisingly, the lime was the worst;
powering the clock for just a few minutes. And the apple actually worked up to
12 minutes. Her clever caption was: "When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Time!"
Here's another interesting tid bit: Our garage has been demolished. We
weren't planning for it to happen until the end of the summer, but it seems our
builder got on the project right away. So we have had our old decaying relic
of a "garage" demolished, & we are building a bigger detached garage, with a
loft which will serve as Yosi's office/studio. Now Yosi (with friends) can jam
as loud as he wants away from our "quiet" home. Word is, he has his eye on a
drum set. Can you say: "sound proofing."

SUMMER CONCERTS

Yosi has a huge amount of concerts coming up this summer. From festivals
to recreation centers, libraries to camps to private parties, Yosi has over
100 summer bookings!
NJ Libraries have a special theme for this summer: Making Trails At Your
Library.
This dovetails nicely with Yosi's Rodeo Round Up where Yosi comes dressed as
a cowboy (his alter ego) & engages the kids in traditional cowboy songs &
dances.
We hope you decide to enlist your child in a local library reading program
for the summer, & come & join the festivities!
As always Yosi's CD's will be available at the concerts. This year we are
very happy to be selling some of our friend's (who are wonderful children's
musicians) award winning CD's. We are speaking of Danny Adlerman & Brady Rymer.
Their CD's will be available at Yosi's shows for a special discount price. So
