My friend, _Johnnette Downing_ (http://johnettedowning.com/) , is a
multi-award winning children's artist from New Orleans. Her home was destroyed
along
with much of her merchandise. She has lost many of her New Orleans gigs. She &
her family are alive & well, & thankful. She is a terrific musician. Fans
call her "the Bonnie Raitt of children's music." She brings a touch of
"Louisiana Spice" to her kids' shows, infusing elements of Cajun, Creole,
zydeco,
and dixieland jazz into her music.
A few children's musicians around the country & I are trying to help
Johnette recover some losses by booking shows for her in our locales. The
heartwarming response from venues has been amazing! I'll certainly let you know
when she'll be performing in our neck of the woods.

THE LEVIN BUNCH

Summer's over already? It's astonishing! The Levins had a busy summer
enjoying the best that the Joisy shore has to offer: Beaches, pools, crabbing,
fishing, boardwalks, ice cream, zeppolies, etc.
It's back to school time again. Hannah's started 7th grade! She's a full
fledged pre-teen with the hip clothing & the _My Chemical Romance_
(http://www.mychemicalromance.com/) CD's & T-shirts. Yikes!
Matt & Nik started 2nd grade & are enjoying seeing their school buddies
from last year. Jonathan is at home with Mama & Daddy, although he puts on
his backpack & shoes every morning like his siblings & waits at the door to go
to school. It's really quite cute. However, he spends his day playing with
his dinosaurs & catching butterflys.

YOSI & THE SUPERDADS

Thanks all for coming out to rock 'n roll with Yosi & The SuperDads this
summer. The new band features Yosi's original songs, plus some rockin'
