Hello everyone,

Some substantial new content has appeared on zarzuela.net over the last
few days, and there's more to come.

You can read an informal interview with leading baritone Jose Julian
Frontal (who met Enrique Mejias), as well as reviews of Emilio Sagi's
triumphant version of "La bruja" at the impressive new theatre in
Valencia, and the new production of "Bohemios" plus "El barbero de
Sevilla" at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid.

There are also a substantial article on Rolando Villazon's new zarzuela
album (from leading critic Andrew Lamb), amongst other CD reviews.

In the next few days, there'll be a nostalgic interview with the veteran
tenor Enrique del Portal, who met Pedro Gomez to recall his zarzuela
work over the last 5 decades; as well as a thoughtful overview of the
"State of Zarzuela" within Spain of 2007, covering live performance,
theatres, companies and recording amongst other aspects, from Ignacio
Jassa.
