Christian ... This was the romanza written for Marcos Redondo, but it was felt to be too soft in character and replaced by the passionate and larger-scale act...

The baritone steals the show anyway with his last beautiful aria and this "lost" romanza may have gotten in the way.? Although out of curiosity, I wouldn't...
