Love of friends of the good music, loves friends of Joe Zawinul´s Birdland, due to the today's report in the week magazine news (No. 29, from 17 July 2008 on page 126), we regard it as our task, you, as our faithful way companions to inform about the actual conditions. The article was published without consultation and information from our house, why we are compelling us from it to dissociate clearly. It is true that Joe Zawinul´s Birdland, as many other cultural enterprises in Vienna also, with financial problems must fight. It corresponds likewise to the truth to get that we succeeded in the last four years the play enterprise upright too received and many large problems with the energetic support from musicians, supplier and coworkers into the grasp. Whether will succeed, further Joe Zawinul´s Birdland as the internationally recognized music club in Vienna and thus the memory of the Weltklasse Jazzer Joe Zawinul to receive, will very soon prove. We risk everything to keep the cultural enterprise upright around it further with national and international concerts to spoil! Likewise we hope that in the appropriate places finally one reacts and one recognizes to Joe Zawinul´s Birdland for the music city Vienna became as important. Liebe Freunde der guten Musik,liebe Freunde von Joe Zawinul´s Birdland,aufgrund des heutigen Berichtes im Wochenmagazin News (Nr. 29, vom 17. Juli 2008 auf Seite 126), sehen wir es als unsere Aufgabe an, Sie, als unsere treuen Wegbegleiter, über den tatsächlichen Stand zu informieren.Der Artikel wurde ohne Rücksprache und Informationen aus unserem Hause veröffentlicht, weshalb wir gezwungen sind uns davon deutlich zu distanzieren.Wahr ist, dass Joe Zawinul´s Birdland, wie viele andere Kulturbetriebe in Wien auch, mit finanziellen Problemen kämpfen muss.Es entspricht ebenso der Wahrheit, dass es uns in den letzten vier Jahren gelungen ist den Spielbetrieb aufrecht zu erhalten und viele große Probleme mit der tatkräftigen Unterstützung von Musikern, Lieferanten und Mitarbeitern in den Griff zu bekommen. Ob es gelingen wird, weiterhin Joe Zawinul´s Birdland als den international anerkannten Musikclub in Wien und somit das Gedenken an den Weltklasse-Jazzer Joe Zawinul zu erhalten, wird sich in der nächsten Zeit erweisen.Wir setzen alles daran, den Kulturbetrieb aufrecht zu erhalten um sie weiterhin mit nationalen und internationalen Konzerten zu verwöhnen!Ebenso hoffen wir, dass in den entsprechenden Stellen endlich reagiert wird und erkannt wird wie wichtig Joe Zawinul´s Birdland für die Musikstadt Wien geworden ist.Unsere Antwort auf den Presseartikel ist ein Überraschungskonzert am Dienstag, den 22.07.2008 ab 20 Uhr unter dem Motto BIRDLAND FOREVER mit vielen nationalen und internationalen Topkünstlern.Ihr Birdland Team
