I've been a Joe fan since around 1974. I remember my friend and I
listening to Sweetnighter and Tailspinnin'. My sister also remember's
me playing weather report.
Recently, I've almost been reintroduced to Joe. Brown street, Faces and
Places... these songs have blown me away. I've made copies and sent
them to musician frinds of mine and they have been awed by this man. He
is so head and shoulders above the rest.
I seen him once at Catalina Bar and grill two years ago, I guess and
was just delighted. Speaks in paragraphs were others speak in short
simple sentence. He tells real stories about people in his music where
others speak in sound bites.
